Fury Of A Woman 'Jilted lover hired assassins to kill Bauchi blogger' – Police

The police in Bauchi State say it has discovered the motive behind the brutal murder of a popular blogger in the state.

Three months after a popular blogger and journalist, Abdulhakeem Bauchi was discovered dead, the Bauchi State Police Command said they have uncovered the reason the young man's life was brutally cut short a few days to his wedding.

Bauchi’s mutilated corpse was discovered on March 12, 2017, three days after he was abducted by unknown persons while planning for his wedding.

The Police Public Relations Officer [PPRO] of the state’s police command, SP Haruna Mohammed, said it has been discovered that the assassins who killed Bauchi were hired by his ex-girlfriend who felt betrayed following his decision to jilt her and marry another woman.  

SP Mohammed who issued a statement on the arrests and investigations that went into uncovering the brutal murder of Bauchi, said that police detectives successfully recovered the deceased Mercedes Benz 300 model on May 27, 2017, in Edo State, where two additional suspects were arrested.

The police statement reads:

“It would be recalled that on the 12/3/2017, one Abdulhakeem Bauchin Bauchi was killed by unknown persons and his decomposing body was recovered three days after.

However, on the 17/3/2017, police detectives attached to the Anti-Kidnapping Unit of the Command, arrested four suspects but the deceased vehicle was nowhere to be seen.

Furthermore, on the 27/6/2017, police detectives successfully recovered the deceased's Mercedes Benz 300 model at Edo State and arrested two additional suspects as follows:

1. Ernest Danladi ‘m’, aged 30 years, from Pankshin LGA of Plateau State

2. Freedom Idom ‘m’, aged 35 years, from Awen East LGA of Edo State

Meanwhile, investigations also revealed that the suspects were hired by one of the victim’s girlfriends who felt betrayed following his intention to marry another woman.

Finally, efforts are being intensified to apprehend the lady after which the suspects would be charged to court for prosecution."
