It was the end of the road for members of a kidnap gang, who were responsible for the abduction of an Indian business man as the Intelligent Response Team  in  Benue state arrested the gang.

It was gathered that the gang led by 28-year-old Terna Lorlu, also known as Rocker, included Ternenger Terwase, aka Bishop, 29, Terungwa Abasuwa, aka Bobby, 27, and 34-year-old Oryina Bosua, aka Man-U,  and were all arrested after operatives had watched them for a while and trailed them to their hideouts.

Confirming the arrest of the kidnappers, the Force Public Relations Officer (FPPRO), DCP Don Awunah, noted that the arrested was a breakthrough,and was in continuation of the nationwide coordinated operations against violent crimes such as kidnapping, armed robbery, cultism and the likes.

He added that during interrogation, the suspects confessed to be the ones behind several kidnappings and armed robbery attacks on innocent people in the state including the kidnap of the Indian business man. The kidnap of a popular businessman identified as Charles, at Adikpo in Kwande Local Government Area and the kidnap of a prominent man in the Gboko area of the state, identified as Chief Tsegba, where they collected a ransom of N5 million before his release.

“They also confessed to the kidnappings of several lecturers and businessmen in College of Education, Katsina-Ala, and other neighbouring towns,” ACP Awunah said, assuring that the suspects would soon be arraigned in court.
