In Lagos Police nabs robbery, kidnapping suspect

News reports have revealed the arrest of a robbery and kidnapping suspect, in the Ajangbadi area of Lagos State by the operatives of the Lagos state command.

The suspect identified as Sunday James Ukpe, 33, residing at no 113 zone 6 Orisha Imude Ajangbadi area of lagos state was arrested on Monday, May 5, 2016.

The suspect had according to reports, been arrested after information had revealed that he had suffered a gunshot wound and was applying native medication at the aforementioned address.

Following intense interrogation, Sunday had reportedly confessed to being specialised in robbing and kidnapping in Akwa ibom state, adding that he had sustained the gunshot injury during one his operations.

Investigations extended to Akwa Ibom state police command reveals that Sunday is also on the wanted list of the state.

Due to the critical nature of the said gun shot wound which had reportedly damaged part of his testicles, Sunday has now been admitted to a private hospital and is being treated under police surveillance.

The Lagos state command's Police Public relations officer, SP Dolapo Badmos, confirmed the arrest adding that effort is in progress to transfer the suspect to Akwa Ibom state command for further investigation and prosecution.
