This is some piece of good news for the family of Joy Akabuike, the pretty female victim of the ill-fated commercial bus belonging to Peace Mass Transport Company which was involved in a ghastly motor accident on May 22, where 13 passengers lost their lives on the spot, after she came out of the coma she had slid into since then.

According to Abia Facts Newspaper, the Imo State Polytechnic graduate regained consciousness on Thursday, May 26, after five days at the intensive care unit of the Federal Medical Center, Umuahia, Abia State, where she was rushed to.

The ghastly motor accident happened along Umuahia-Okigwe road, involving the 18-seater commercial bus and a utility truck used for conveying of goods, heading to Enugu from Port Harcourt, River State, said to be on top speed when it lost control, veered into the path of the bus, which was a few kilometres away from its destination which was Umuahia, causing the great carnage.
