The Starboy CEO has taken fans on a long musical journey, with collaborations, and announcements in 2015 creating anticipation for the LP. But the singer is set to move the release date to next year.
Wizkid was one of the many superstars present when Nigerian music Legend, 2face Idibia celebrated his 40th birthday party at an All-star tribute concert tagged #Fortyfied which held at Eko Hotel last night.
The experience was of great impact on on the singer, convincing him to postpone his album release, earlier scheduled to drop this month till ‘sometime next year’.
“celebrated the legend 2face Idibia1 last night! Epic! Made me realize how much I need to fuck the game up! So I’m moving my album to sometime next year!." Wizkid wrote on Instagram.
Wizkid has arguably the most anticipated album this year. With collaborations with Chris Brown and Angelique Kidjo this looked like one to be savoured. Singles off this LP include the banging ‘Expensive shit’, but a new release is in the works titled ‘Sade’.
With the third album postponed, Wizkid will drop an EP in October. The new EP will contain 10 songs, with each song having a video.
Wizkid is currently the CEO of Starboy Entertainment. He has released two studio albums; "Superstar" in 2011, and "Ayo" in 2014.
