Turkey would view further violations of its airspace by Russian warplanes as a threat, but views a Russian offer to meet and discuss the issue positively, a spokesman for the ruling AK Party said on Wednesday.

"We find Russia's request to "come together and explain" positive. is a friend but if the repeated incursions continue, we will perceive it as a threat and not as friendly behaviour," Omer Celik told journalists.
