Pulse Tech previously reported that three ladies who are undergraduates at the MEST school in Ghana were launching a hair-centric social app at the Social Media Week Lagos event which held at the Landmark Centre, Victoria Island, Lagos.

We had the three ladies in the Pulse TV studio to talk about the app and how it will disrupt the tech landscape and how it intends to solve a problem unique to women all over the world.

Speaking on how the team came up with name 'Tress', Esther Olatunde, CTO at Tress, said, "Tress in English means a lock or strand of hair, and in French, it means braid, so it was just a perfect match that made sense."
