Jumia Market MD speaks about Nigeria's online market space

The Turkish-Canadian, on a visit to the Pulse offices for a video interview, spoke on the recently announced rebrand of all AIG companies under the Jumia brand name.

In the 11 months since he has been in Nigeria, Jumia Market (formerly Kaymu) MD, Sefik Bagdadioglu, has seen first-hand what it's  like to run a tech business in Nigeria.

The Turkish-Canadian, on a visit to the Pulse offices for a video interview, spoke on the recently announced rebrand of all AIG companies under the Jumia brand name.

He also explained why he thinks this move is a good thing for all the Jumia verticals and how that translates into the tech market in Nigeria.

Recognizing the peculiarities of the Nigeria and African market, the bespectacled Bagdadioglu, also had some words of advice for upcoming startup founders and entrepreneurs.
