Here's how to post a 360-degree photo on Facebook

You may think you need a dedicated 360 camera, but you would be wrong. All you need is your regular smartphone. No need for any high tech gadgetry.

Facebook 360 photo

A few months ago, Facebook introduced the 360 photo feature on its platform and a lot of people in this side of the world have not really figured out how, or what, to do with this feature.

You may think you need a dedicated 360 camera, but you would be wrong. All you need is your regular smartphone. No need for any high tech gadgetry.

Before we go on, be sure that your smartphone camera has the 'Panorama' feature. Now that we that out of the way, shall we?

For iPhone users, simply launch your camera, select the Panorama option, and take a picture. Any iPhone device newer than the iPhone 4s or any tablet newer than the iPad Mini 2 should suffice.

For Android users, the guys at Innovation Village suggest you download Google'sCardboard camera app and use it to take Panorama shots. For Samsung Galaxy owners, the surround shot mode on the default camera app on your phone should work just fine.

Once you upload the image to Facebook it will automatically turn into an interactive image. Tilt and rotate your phone and, using your phone's gyrometer, you will be able to explore various parts of the photograph. Sé Finis!

Side Note: Ensure that your panorama shot is a minimum of 100-degrees or wider, or else Facebook will not be able to display it as a 360-degree photo.
