According to various media reports, the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) has lifted sanctions it placed on Lubcon, an aviation fuel supplyer, stopping it from supplying aviation fuel to domestic and foreign airlines in Nigeria with immediate effect.

Nigeria CommunicationsWeek reports that this information was contained in a letter to Lubcon signed by the Director of Air-worthiness Standards, Engr. Benedict Adeyileka on behalf of the DG of the NCAA.

The report further reveals that the sanctions were lifted after the verification of Lubcon’s aviation fuel supply facilities by the Department of Petroleum Resources (DPR) and the NCAA.

Before the certification however, several verification visits by top officials of the two agencies were undertaken and found satisfactory.
