Tech giant just launched an AI-powered jobs search feature

The idea is to give you access to job postings without having to browse through multiple websites where you will probably find duplicate postings and irrelevant jobs.

Google CEO Sundar Pichai.

With this new feature you will only need to type in search parameters like “jobs near me,” “writing jobs” and stuff like that. Then you will see a card with various job listings as well as other relevant information.

You will be able to filter jobs based on things like industry, location, when they were posted, and employer.

According to Nick Zakrasek, Product Manager for this feature, “Finding a job is like dating. Each person has a unique set of preferences and it only takes one person to fill this job.”

A Techcrunch report reveals that Google will not be using the data it already has (and sells to advertisers) in job searches. The tech giant had announced this feature last month at its I/O developer Conference.

The feature is currently available only in the US but it is expected that it will be available in other markets soon.

What do you think about this kind of feature? Do you think it will help more Nigerians find jobs easily? Share your thoughts in the comments section below.
