Google Maps Live Traffic Updates

Google Maps for Android now has a new feature that lets users at multiple waypoints to a destination for easier navigation.

Now, tapping the options button reveals an 'Add stop' function which lets you add additional stops and routes chosen for driving, walking, or public transit directions. Users can also rearrange the order of their stops.

The Google Maps application is a desktop and mobile web mapping service developed by Google. The service offers satellite imagery, street maps, 360-degree panoramic views of streets (Street View), real-time traffic updates, and route planning for travel by foot, car, or public transportation.

The service also offers an API that allows the maps to be embedded on third-party website or apps, and offers locator services to urban businesses and other organizations.

The rollout of the new feature is gradual and should reach your device at some point regardless of where you are in the world. Google also says there will be an iOS release for the feature in the very near future.
