Telecommunication company appoints new CMO in Nigeria

The management of Etisalat Nigeria recently announced the appointment of Francesco Angelone as its new Chief Marketing Officer.

The new CMO, Mr. FrancescoAngelone, was previously the Vice President-Commercial at Etisalat Group, where he led various programmes to develop and implement marketing strategies, expand sales and distribution channels, and drive efficiencies.

Francesco, a graduate of Economics from the University of Parma-Italy, started his career in the audit and finance disciplines before joining Telecom Italia as Customer Operations Manager, and later assuming other positions as Project Leader and Financial Controller.

He joins Etisalat Nigeria with over 20 years experience in telecoms marketing having worked in different countries such as Italy, Spain, UK, Brazil, and UAE in telecommunications.

He also worked at Vodafone for 10 years as Product & Marketing Analysis Manager in Italy before moving to Spain where he held roles as Direct Marketing Manager and Senior Product Manager, and eventually rising to the position of Global Senior Pricing Manager at Vodafone Group.
