Great product, but is it worth it?

Forgetting your umbrella at home can be very annoying, especially during the rainy season.

Thankfully, an amazing umbrella has been created to prevent this from happening.

This product, Davek Alert Umbrella, has a Bluetooth chip that sends a notification to your phone when you are about to leave the house without it.

It works by sensing the distance between the umbrella and your phone, then it links to an app, which sends you a notification, telling you your umbrella is out of range.

There is no doubt this is a wonderful product, however, with a $125 (N24,906) price tag, i am not convinced it is worth buying.

Yes, it works well, but it uses bluetooth, which probably means the bluetooth on your phone has to be on 24/7, which drains the battery.

What happens if your bluetooth is off, or the phone goes off eventually?

I am guessing this means your phone can not receive the notification, meaning the user is likely to leave the house without the umbrella, which was the whole point of getting this particular product.

In spite of the above issues, the creativity behind this product has to be recognised.

Hence, the Davek Alert Umbrella has a 6/10 score for me.
