Saraki congratulates Ondo Governor elect

The Senate President also commended INEC for conducting a free and fair election in Ondo state.

Akeredolu was declared winner of the November 26, 2016 Ondo governorship poll by Prof. Abdul-Ganiyu Ambali, the Chief Returning Officer in the election.

Saraki also called on the Governor elect to bring everyone, including those that contested against him on board.

The Senate President also commended the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for conducting a free and fair election in Ondo state.

According to Punch, he said “The people of Ondo have made a clear choice by voting for the APC. I can only assure the good people of Ondo that the APC and its standard bearer have all it takes to wipe away your tears and provide you the dividends of democracy that have hitherto eluded you.

“With Akeredolu on the saddle of governance, I have no doubt that the state will soon witness unparalleled development both socially, economically and politically.

“Ondo could not have made a better choice than Akeredolu.”

The Senate President also thanked the people of Ondo state for voting the All Progressives Congress (APC) into power.

The Speaker of the House of Reps, Yakubu Dogara also congratulated Akeredolu, saying his victory shows that Nigerians still love APC.
