Katsina state governor cancels free feeding programme
Katsina State Government said it will no longer continue with this year’s Ramadan free feeding due to the poor economy.

He said dearth of resources has forced the government to stop the free feeding programme and added that payment of salaries is now the government top priority.
Masari said even though the feeding was not a bad idea, said it will be unjust for government to ignore people’s legitimate salaries for Ramadan feeding.
“Our main focus now is how to pay salaries. Even though the feeding is optional, dearth of resources has forced us not to continue with it,” Masari said.
