Senator threatens Lai Mohammed over fake attack on Twitter

The Senator threatened to disrespect the minister for a tweet that was made by a parody Twitter account.

His outburst had been in response to a tweet made by the parody Twitter account registered in the name of the minister.

The Twitter accounthad tweeted earlier on Tuesday, "Just look at this clown; Senator Dino Melaye at the Notting Hill carnival in London, performing his favourite song "Ajekun Iya"."

The fact that the said Twitter account is not operated by the minister must have been lost on the Senator as he posted hours later with his own Twitter account .

He tweeted, "I choose to resprct Lai Mohammed's age as a proper Yoruba boy. Next time he wont be this lucky."

The Senator's trip to London for the Notting Hill Carnival has been an eventful one as he was booed off the stage while addressing Nigerian carnival goers on Monday, August 28.

The representative of the Kogi West senatorial district was continuously interrupted by sections of Nigerians in the crowd while he was on stage giving a speech.

The lawmaker continued speaking while the crowd kept heckling him to leave the stage with some even shouting "Ole (thief)" several times.

After hurrying up his speech, Senator Melaye exited the stage with another rendition of his signature 'Ajekun Iya' song and dance targeted at "the enemies of Nigeria".
