Maina’s reinstatement letter didn’t emanate from my office, AGF tells Reps

Malami said the letter could not have emanated from his office.

While appearing before the House of Representatives committee probing Maina’s reinstatement into the civil service on Thursday, November 23, 2017, Malami said the letter could not have emanated from his office.

The AGF told lawmakers that the last letter he “remembered” was dated January 19, 2017 and was meant to bring attention to all that was happening to Maina.

"As at 21st February, Maina's issue was a work of progress," Malami said. "The letter giving clear directives couldn't have genuinely emanated from my office," he added.

Malami accused politicians and lawmakers of taking part in the pension fraud.

The Head of Service, Winifred Oyo-Ita also appeared before the House committee.
