1 dead, 7 injured in explosion

A bomb, believed to have been planted by Boko Haram, exploded in Wulle village in the Gujba Local Government Area of the state, according to Daily Trust.

Seven people, who are members of a local vigilante group, were injured in the incident.

“Yes, the incident happened, and we are sad about it but it will not deter us from fighting the insurgents. We will continue to look out for these criminals till we wipe them off completely to restore normalcy,” Commander of the vigilante group, Muhammad Awana said.

The injured persons are said to be receiving treatment at the Damaturu Specialist Hospital.

The incident is yet to be confirmed by military authorities.
