The incident occurred today, March 8, 2016, at the Chisco Bus Stop area in Lekki, according to reports.

The incident occurred today, March 8, 2016, at the Chisco Bus Stop area, according to reports.

The casualty figure was provided by the spokesman for the South-West zone of the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), Ibrahim Farinloye.

“We received an alert around 4:20am about the building collapse and immediately we mobilised resources and personnel to move in there,” he said.

“As at now, we have recovered four persons dead, six rescued alive,” Farinloye added.

The building was said to still be under construction at the time of the collapse.
