Bomb Blast outside venue of Jonathan’s campaign rally

The bomb is said to have exploded outside a stadium along Abubakar Habu Hashidu Road a few minutes after President Goodluck Jonathan left the scene.

An explosion has reportedly occurred today, February 2, outside the venue of a Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) campaign rally in Gombe State.

The bomb is said to have exploded outside a stadium along Abubakar Habu Hashidu Road a few minutes after President Goodluck Jonathan left the scene.

The device was planted in a tricycle station about 200 meters from the stadium, according to Sahara Reporters.

Jonathan was earlier forced to cancel his campaign in Yobe State due to security concerns.

It is not yet known if there were any casualties from the latest incident.
