Use productive hours wisely, efficiently – Cleric urges Nigerians

The cleric gave the advice on Sunday while delivering his homily at Anglican Church of Ascension, Enugu.

Cleric urges Nigerians to be productive in order to help Nigeria out of its economic recession

“Nigerians should shun all forms of idleness that breed poverty and lack,’’ he said.

He insisted that with the current economic realities, there should be no room for idleness both at the family, neighbourhood and community levels.

The cleric advised that Nigerians should be engaged irrespective of the remuneration attached to the job; as it could be a spring board for greater things to come.

“Productive hours should be used for productive things. The time to work hard should not be the time you continue to pray.

“God does not bless an idle man, woman or youth.

“The hands that till the land; would always have bread (food) and be satisfied with it,’’ Onyia said.

He said that God was watching civil servants, who spent their time in idleness and collect an undue salary for being idle.

“Diligent and prolonged hard work uplifts and increases one’s job as well as wealth,’’ he said.
