Many hospitalized as Cholera hits 3 communities

Cases of the disease have been recorded in the Nsukka, Udenu and Igboeze South Local Government areas of the state.

Many people have been hospitalized in Enugu State after an outbreak of Cholera hit three communities.

The state Commissioner for Health, George Eze paid a visit to the affected patients in various hospitals and donated drugs worth over N500,000 to be administered free of charge.

“As I donate these drugs on behalf of the governor, Sullivan Chime, I urge you to do more. “I appreciate the way you have managed the disease; it shows that the state will be at peace whenever something similar occurs in these three councils,” Eze said.

The state government has also reportedly intensified efforts to ensure that the situation does not escalate.
