Godwin Emefiele CBN governor’s wife has been kidnapped

Mrs Margaret Emefiele was reportedly abducted on Thursday, September 29, 2016, along the Benin-Agbor Road.

Margaret Emefiele, the wife of Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) Governor, Godwin Emefiele has been kidnapped.

Mrs Emefiele was reportedly abducted on Thursday, September 29, along the Benin-Agbor Road.

According to reports, her abductors have been in contact with Emefiele, and have asked for a ransom of N1.5b.

The four policemen attached to the CBN Governor's wife reportedly ran away when the abductors overcame them with superior fire power.


The Inspector General of Police, Ibrahim Idris has deployed helicopters to search for Emefiele's wife.
