The infected woman is a National Health Service worker, who had been working with the charity, Save the Children in Sierra Leone before her arrival into Glasgow on Sunday, December 28, aboard a British Airways flight.

Authorities in Scotland have said that the disease was diagnosed in its early stages so the risk of transmission to others is low.
