Bad elements have hijacked this administration- Naja'atu

A staunch supporter of the president has vowed to follow due process despite lures from hijackers.

Mohammadu Buhari

Naja'atu, while clarifying circumstances that made her turn down appointment as Chairperson, Governing Council of Federal University, Dutse Jigawa State, said some individuals who apparently did not work for the emergence of President Muhammadu Buhari have hijacked his administration and are now not following due process.

"People who did not work for the success of this administration have hijacked everything and we won't allow that happen," Naja'atu said in a Voice of America Hausa Service.

According to her, since there was no other credible person in Nigeria like Buhari, she will continue to be his ardent supporter but won't take positions she was not consulted before announcement.

"The PA to the Minister of Education, Dr Bappa did not get across to me before the media announcement. And I wrote to the person that wrote to me. Let me tell you, people who did not contributed to the emergence of Buhari are now holding influential offices. What did they want me to do for them in Dutse? Where is even the university they want me to work? She asked.

Naja'atu said she will stand by Buhari but can't accept lack of due process by some elements in the administration.
