The request was made by a member of the Nigerian sect via a video posted on Twitter, according to The Associated Press.
The video was shared on Wednesday, October 14, 2015, and the armed fighter reportedly told the Somalian insurgents that uniting "is of greater benefit to the struggle on the path of Islam" and will “help in defeating the infidels of the world.”
