How Governor plans to solve traffic problems

Residents of the state have been complaining about frequent gridlocks with some attributing the situation to laxity on Ambode’s part.

 

Lagos State Governor, Akinwunmi Ambode has revealed his plans for easing the traffic situation in the state.

The governor has however said that he is concerned about the issue and that actions to resolve it have commenced.

“I'm concerned about recent feedback on traffic gridlock in the state, actions to decongest traffic has commenced,” Ambode said via Twitter on October 15, 2015.

“Apart from new traffic management initiatives, we’ve put in place inter agency collaboration to unlock traffic across the State. Public Works Corporation & contractors handling road projects have been issued directives to expedite actions to project completion," he added.

The governor also expressed optimism that Lagosians would soon "feel the positive impact" of his administration's projects.

Ambode took over from predecessor, Babatunde Fashola on May 29.
