Android 6.0 Marshmallow will be available from October 5th

The first devices that will get the Marshmallow OS up and running will be the old generation Nexus smartphones and tablets that are still capable of running the new release.

Several media reports reveal that Google will announce some new Nexus devices during a press event today, with the Nexus 5X and the Nexus 6P touted to be that stars of the show.

Both devices will be the first to run the brand new Android 6.0 Marshmallow out-of-the-box when they ship to customers in the following weeks, with Google promising to release the final version of Android 6.0 by then.

According to a report by Android Police, the final Marshmallow release will be available to users on October 5, as revealed by Canadian carrier.

Additionally, Marshmallow code will also be pushed out to developers the same day.
