Dropbox has introduced Dropbox comments, a way for all users to add notes to files that it hosts, earlier today.
You can now add comments to hosted files
The feature which was only available to paid-up Dropbox for Business customers, gives multiple people the opportunity to leave feedback and mentions for users in a dedicated comments pane present on the document itself.

Users can invite people without Dropbox accounts to open the files and read the comments, but they’ll have to sign up if they also want to comment.
Dropbox initially began as a simple cloud-based filesharing service, but recent moves has seen it pitch itself as a more integral part of online existence.
The company launched dedicated photo and email applications last year, and opened up a beta test for Dropbox Notes, which is similar to Google docs, a way for multiple users to edit the same document.
The comments feature is available on the web version right now and is coming to mobile soon.
