'FRSC needs tougher penalties for offenders', paramount ruler advises
The Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC) has been advised to get tougher penalties for traffic offenders.

DailyPost reports that the President of Mangu Traditional Council, Nelson Bakfur, says FRSC should introduce stronger penalties for offences, especially for overloading.
“What motorists are doing here in Mangu Local Government is appalling, especially when it comes to breaking traffic rules, regulations and the resultant colossal loss of lives.

FRSC has to help us to deal with these offenders, who on daily basis are sending our innocent citizens to an untimely death.
Aside fining speeding and over loading motorists, FRSC should detain them for at list a day, as part of punishment, to serve as deterrent to others,.
I think that is the only way you could slow them down and put a stop to the carnage we see on our roads on daily basis,’’ he said.
