Total road safety campaign for kids

According to The Guardian, the goal of this collaboration is to ensure that primary school children are educated on proper road safety.

This will be done with the help of Road Safety Cubes, according to Managing Director, Jean-Philippe Torres.

He said, "The Road Safety Cubes Campaign is aimed at protecting Nigerian children between the ages of age 6 to 12, from road accidents by educating them on road signs and proper behavior on the road while going to school."

“We are fully committed to reducing road accidents and its associated risks as our major channel of petroleum products distribution is via road transportation. This is because, at Total, safety comes first and is fundamental in our core values."

These safety cubes come with teaching kits for lessons on road tracks, road signs, lesson guides, workbooks, safety exercise books, and certificates, to be issued at the end of the training.

The campaign started in 2013, so far it has been implemented in Lagos, Port-Harcourt, Kaduna and Kano states.

In Lagos, 13 safety cubes have been donated to the children in Saint Georges Primary Schools, Falomo in Ikoyi.
