FRSC impounds overloaded vehicle in Akure, Ondo State

The agency shared this, along with a picture of the vehicle, on Facebook.

"An overloaded vehicle impounded at FRSC command Akure, Ondo State. Overloading is dangerous. Pls desist from it", the caption read.

Overloading has been identified as one of the causes of road traffic crashes.

In April, 2016, the FRSC marshal, Boboye Oyeyemi, attributed over 63 deaths, within the first quarter of the year, to overloading and speeding.
