Zambia's President Edgar Lungu said on Friday the government was taking measures to ease power shortages and within 12-13 months the southern African nation would be a net exporter of electricity.
Zambia will be exporting power in a year
"Let me assure the nation that my government has rapidly moved to address this problem," Lungu said when opening parliament, adding that power shortages have slowed economic growth this year.
