Lagos Metropolitan Area Transport Authority (LAMATA) has found ways to control the constant traffic in Lagos state.

At a stakeholders meeting with executives of Mile 12 Market, the Local Council Development Area, Community Development Association and LAMATA, Mr. Kehinde Bamigbetan, Special Adviser to Governor Akinwunmi Ambode on Communication and Communities, announced that the solution is to erect a one-kilometre long concrete fence with iron see-through grating in order to control the traffic along Ikorodu Road.

Other than this, LAMATA also plans to construct a median jersey barrier and multiple lay-by for commercial buses and other uses.
