Agency wins court case against speed limiting device

The Federal High Court Abuja has passed a favorable judgement on the use of speed limiting devices.

The court, presided by Justice Chukwu, threw out the case by the Registered Trustees of International Human Rights & Anti Corruption Society, who had concerns with the SLDs.

"The case against FRSC at the Federal High Court Abuja by Registered Trustees of International Human Rights & Anti Corruption Society in Suit No FHC/Abj/CS/805/15  challenging the powers of FRSC on the speed limiter was today (yesterday), dismissed by the Court, presided over by Justice who described the positions of the opponents to the Speed  Limiting Device as lacking in merit”.

Leadership reports that the court's action gives the Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC) the freedom to implement the SLD soon.
