Volkswagen to build 30 vehicles in 9 yrs

Volkswagen is set to manufacture 30 new electric cars in the next nine years!

Volkswagen

According to the auto company, these battery-powered electric vehicles will account for 20 to 25 percent of its sales volume, The Verge reports.

Volkswagen is also delving into other areas, other than the electric car world.

The automaker has reportedly invested in ride-sharing, and self-driving (autonomous) technology, which is expected to be licensed to other companies, in the next 10 years.

All of these is part of the company's efforts to revive itself after the huge diesel emissions scandal.

Volkswagen CEO, Matthias Müller, confirmed this by saying that he wants to "rectify shortcomings and establish a corporate culture that is open, value-driven and rooted in integrity."

Do you think the company could ever recover from such a huge scandal?
