Despite holding the ceremony in USA, they still observed a traditional Yoruba wedding which took place at Noah’s Event Venue in Irving, Tex., on Sept. 22.
The church wedding followed at the Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Dallas.
The bride is the daughter of Arlington-based Oluwatoyin Adeniji and Lateph Adeniji while the groom is the son of Elizabeth Akhuemonkhan and Edward Akhuemonkhan based in Abuja.
29-year old Temi, a graduate of Princeton, works at Warner Music Group as a director at the international strategy and operations department at Warner Music Group, where she supervises day-to-day operations of international subsidiaries and appraises expansion opportunities.
She has a Master’s degree at Law from University College London. Her mother is an accountant for the Texas Health and Human Services Commission in Grand Prairie, Tex, and her father is a lawyer in Arlington.
The groom, 32, graduated from the University of Maryland, and is now a vice president in the financial advisory group focusing on mergers and acquisitions at Lazard, the investment bank in New York.
His mother, is a retired vice principal at Amuwo Odofin Secondary School in Lagos, while his father, now retired, was a once a manager at NNPC.
Happy married life to the Nigerians doing the nation proud abroad.
