All you need to know + schedule for the inaugural A/W 'Identity' presentation

See the schedule and every other thing you need to know about LFDW's inaugural A/W 'Identity' presentation...

The top Nigerian designers; Maki Oh, Lisa Folawiyo, AAKS, Gozel Green, Kelechi Odu, Orange Culture, Post Imperial, and Shem Paronelli will present at Red Door Gallery where a film 'Eko For Show: A History Of Lagos Fashion' documenting the style journey in Lagos will also be screened.

The A/W presentation tagged ‘Identity’  will explore how fashion and dress is expressed in the Nigerian society and how the difficulties of producing locally affects the way in which it is expressed.

Each designer presenting will be designated a space, one in which they can distill these and other themes, engage directly with guests, buyers or editors and exclusively present their Autumn/Winter 2017 Collections.

Guests will have an opportunity to meet the designers on Friday March 31st from 7pm- 9pm as well as interact ask questions with the creative sharing the intricacies behind their Autumn/Winter collection as well as their various interpretation of the theme 'Identity'.

The fashion film, a documentary by Bolaji Kekere-Ekun, Francesca Tiller-Gyado, and Sesu Tilley-Gyado to be screened explores the origins of Lagos Fashion, the traditional fabrics such as Adire and Aso-Oke and the historical events that shaped the ever evolving Lagos fashion scene into what it has become today.
