Sexiest Man Alive, David Beckham lands not one but five covers on GQ's special edition March 2016 issue. The cover images narrate Beckham's past editorial work and career.

The special issue takes a  lot at  the famous footballer, father of four on how he's grown from "football icon to fashion god, influential philanthropist and businessman." Except for one photo by Nadav Kander, all other photos by Inez and Vinoodh, Vincent Peters, and Marc Hom, for the cover images aren't original.

Instead, they've been acquired from iconic photo shoots throughout his career, which is part of an upcoming exhibit at London's Phillips Galleries, appropriately titled "David Beckham: The Man."

According to British GQ, The showcase will aid children through 7: The David Beckham UNICEF Fund in association with Positive View Foundation, includes a variety of portraits and images of the 40-year-old photographed by the likes of Annie Leibovitz, Mert, Marcus, Peter Lindbergh and Damien Hirst.

According to British GQ editor, Dylan Jones, "David Beckham really has a golden aura about him these days, a star quality burnished by a dedication to self-improvement, a savvy series of brand endorsements and the not inconsiderable fact that the public as a whole appear to have taken him to their hearts. As for this special issue, when we saw the scale of the project at Phillips and the wealth of images being auctioned….We couldn’t wait to get involved."

From the July 2001 issue of since-folded British magazine ‘The Face’, he appears semi-shirtless and dripping with fake blood; another goes back to his much-younger days, with spiky, slicked-back hair and manicured eyebrows.

British GQ's March 2016 hits newsstands on Thursday, meanwhile, you can see all 5 covers in the gallery above.
