The Nigerian Export Promotion Council (NEPC) will sponsor the Nigerian pavilion at the Africa Fashion Week London 2016.

The NEPC saddled with the promotion of the development and diversification of Nigerian’s export trade will be at the 2016 AFWL to sponsor Nigerian brands exhibiting actively at the fashion week set for September 9th to 10th 2016 at the London Olympia.

The 2-day event will witness around 70 designers showing their latest collections at the fashion week featuring designers from different parts of the world.

Africa Fashion Week London (AFWL) and Africa Fashion Week Nigeria (AFWN) have both gained a reputation as a unique platform that celebrates the best of Africa, showcasing/creating a platform for new and upcoming brands to the world.

About NEPC

The Nigerian Export Promotion Council (NEPC) was established through the promulgation of the Nigerian Export Promotion Decree No. 26 of 1976 and formally inaugurated in March, 1977. This act was amended by Decree No.72 of 1979 and further amended by the Nigerian Export Promotion Decree No. 41 of 1988 and complimented by the Export (Incentives and Miscellaneous Provisions) Decree No. 18 of 1986.

Furthermore, the Nigerian Export Promotion Council Amendment Decree No.64 of 1992 was promulgated to enhance the performance of the Council by minimizing bureaucratic bottlenecks and increasing autonomy in dealing with members of the Organised private sector. The Council has a governing Board drawn from both the Public and the Private sectors.

The statutory roles of the Nigerian Export promotion Council include; to promote the development and diversification of Nigerian’s export trade, to assist in promoting the development of export related industries in Nigeria, to spearhead the creation of appropriate export incentives as well as actively articulate and promote the implementation of export polices and programs of the Nigerian Government.
