The designer who joined Mai Atafo, Lanre Da Silva Ajayi, Modela and Zizi Cardow to present a specially curated collection for the presentation celebrating Lagos @50 made a show of 'Aso-Oke'.
Cape made out of Aso Oke details, sheer shirts with matching pants, embellished tunics, drop crotch pants, tiered/ruffled hem jumpsuit complete with '80's headwrap statement were presented in the intricately artistic collection that got the audience extremely excited.
Ruffled blouses, midi skirts with colour block details, bold high waisted doll dresses, midi pants, cape shirts as menswear pieces and more made up the collection.
Ayo Van Elmar did an edgy infusion of Aso-Oke/Ofi into sheer and lightweight fabric for a solid contrast and modern Afropolitan type presentation.
Her show wasn't in the least predictable, see the offerings.
