See the Orekoya kids' abductors

The pictures of the family behind the kidnap of the Orekoya kids and a series of other abductions within and outside Lagos State in the past months, has been released by the police.

At last, the Lagos State Police Command has released the pictures of the two brothers behind the series of kidnappings that culminated in the arrest of Funmilayo Adeyemi alias Mary Akinloye, who was used as the abductor in-chief in perpetrating several kidnapping of kids in the state.

The brothers, Rasheed and Hakeem Kareem, are said to be the brains behind the abduction of the Orekoya kids which later became their albatross after Adeyemi was arrested and she spilled the bean on the nefarious activities of the family which involves their mother and other members of the family.

According to the state Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), DSP Kenneth Nwosu, the two brothers who operate a Yoruba movie production outfit as front to their nefarious activities, were exposed by Adeyemi who is the wife of one of the brothers.

The PPRO said police were not relenting in their investigations and would soon apprehend the brothers, their mother and one of the brothers’ wife who are neck deep in the crime.

"We are not leaving any stone unturned towards arresting all the fleeing members of the gang. We must make sure they face the full wrath of the law."

Adeyemi, who is still in police detention, had abducted the three children of the Orekoyas on April 10, 2015, after being employed as a nanny through an online employment advertisement portal, OLX, two days earlier.

According to her, her husband, his brother and his family members placed the adverts on the portal and use her to pose as the nanny. Few days after being employed, she would kidnap the kids from the family and her gang members would then make a demands of ransom for the kids.

She also confessed to the police that she was the same OLX nanny that abducted two kids in Magodo GRA late last year and that the family had also paid a ransom to her crime syndicate.

Adeyemi also told the police that her husband, Rasheed, was the head of the gang. It was gathered that Raheed and Hakeem have been living in affluence, driving exotic cars wherever they lived.
