This month, TW celebrates WIMBIZ, Women in Business and Management on their 10th year anniversary. The WIMBIZ organization is a group of women doing phenomenal things in their various fields or career paths. They are an initiative that impacts on the lives of women with their activities; most of which include cooperate governance trainings, mentoring programmes for young women, CEO interactive sessions and a host of other activities. This group caters to women from all walks of life, members and non members alike, who want to take charge of their careers.
TW Celebrates WIMBIZ @10
For as long as we can remember, the Nigerian society has always been a male dominated one, with women relegated to the background and sedentary tasks. The paradigm has shifted in recent times with women moving to the forefront in various their fields of endeavor.
TW December looks at two women who have stood up to the plate in a male dominated society like ours. Adeola Azeez, director of Deutsche bank in Nigeria and one of the original founders of WIMBIZ speaks on the challenges of growing an organization such as WIMBIZ. Yewande Zaccheaus outgoing chairperson of the organization also speaks on the vision of WIMBIZ and the journey so far.
