Nollywood actor, Benson Okonkwo, is not new to controversies, especially as it was in such a way that announced his entry into the industry.
"Porn Movies Will Move Nollywood Forward" – Benson Okonkwo
Nollywood actors Benson Okonkwo believes that pornographic movies will actually move the industry forward and urges more of such in Nigeria.
The Enugu based actor who has been tagged an homosexual because of the gay role he played in the movie, Pregnant hawker, believes that pornographic movies will surely move the movie industry forward.
In a recent interview, Benson said that it is because of the hypocrisy of Nigerians that pornographic movies are frowned upon in Nigeria and that they are actually very good for Nollywood.
Here is what he said:

We watch pornographic movies like that in Hollywood. Nigerians are hypocrites. I think pornography makes our movies more real.
And for that reason, I am in support of it. If you take a good look at Hollywood movies, for example, you will notice that it is rampant and it means nothing to them.
Pornography is good for Nollywood. It’s like acting normal roles, first and foremost. It’s a movie and you act exactly what is in your script.
And there are restrictions, besides kissing and touching here and there. Nigerian movies are not made for everyone.
