A drunk trailer driver has caused the deaths of many passengers after his container fell on a fully loaded commercial bus.

This sad incident, according to eyewitnesses, happened at Alakija bus stop, along the Badagry Expressway, Lagos, as Nigerians celebrate the end of the Ramadan fast.

The driver of the truck was said to be drunk at the time of the accident and was driving at top speed and in a bid to avoid a bad portion of the road, the container fell off and landed on the bus which had passengers heading towards the Mile 2 area.

Some people were said to be trapped inside the vehicle as Good Samaritans and some security agents tried to rescue them.
