The left-hander has been sidelined with the complaint since May 11, but was expected to return to MLB action in the near future.

New York Yankees pitcher CC Sabathia could be miss the rest of the season with a knee injury, manager Joe Girardi revealed.
However, he suffered a relapse when his knee swelled up during his rehabilitation.
Sabathia - a member of the last Yankees side to win a World Series in 2009 - is now due to have an examination with an orthopaedic surgeon on July 14.
And Girardi confirmed he may miss the remainder of the campaign because the issue could require surgery.

"That's (surgery) always a possibility when you have a degenerative knee," Girardi said ahead of Friday's meeting with the Minnesota Twins.
"That could be one of the steps. It's a surgery a lot of players don't want to hear they need to have. It's a pretty long rehab."
Asked about the possibility of missing the rest of the season, he added: "That's fair to say."
Girardi also revealed that Sabathia's future in baseball could be in jeopardy, although he refused to speculate if the injury could end his career.
"It's too early to predict that," he added. "Whenever you have degenerative issues that cause surgery, there are always questions."
