President Buhari

The Federal Government of Nigeria, under the leadership of President Muhammadu Buhari, has vowed to take some measures to ameliorate poverty in the country as well make life a little bit easy for the poorest of the poorest in the land.

One of such measures is to create a welfare scheme which will see jobless Nigerians earn the sum of N5,000 every month.

This move by the government is meant to provide a form of financial succour to the poorest citizens and while many have commended the government for this initiative, others believe it would be better for the government to create employment opportunities where the horde of teeming jobless youths would get jobs.

Some others are also not comfortable with the arrangement, believing it would be abused as is always the case in Nigeria and that the politicians would definitely hijack the scheme.
