Blogger thinks Nigerians are illiterates for calling her an ex-convict

The media personality plans to get involved in activism to promote a freedom of the Nigerian press.

Kemi Olunloyo  is known for her frank comments concerning social issues.

This is following her release from a Port Harcourt prison after 81 days behind bars due to a defamation charge brought against her by Pastor David Ibiyeomie of the Salvation Ministries.

Olunloyo, who is now back to being her vocal self took to Twitter today, June 6, 2017, to make her thoughts known, keeping it frank and blunt as usual.

She also promised to hold a news conference possibly in a bid to address the circumstances of her imprisonment and recent release.

"Nigerians tagging me as an ex-convict because of 81days in prison are certified illiterates. I have not been convicted of any crime YET-KOO.

"#BREAKING Holding a news conference later today for the entire media pool covering my "criminal defamation" case. Contact Atty Eugene Meabe," Olunloyo wrote yesterday.

The media personality who is often criticized for her 'high handed' hard approach concerning societal matters received support from Bisi Alimi.

The exiled gay rights activist commented on Twitter in May 2017 about her incarceration which he considers unjust based on the comment below.

"While we are still at it, I think it is important for Nigerians to know that Kemi Olunloyo is still in prison for nothing. Just a reminder," says Alimi.

One of Olunloyo's agenda following her release will be to testify on the freedom of press amendment in the Nigerian constitution.
