34-year-old woman who claimed to be 15 sentenced to jail

A 34-year-old woman who posed as a 15-year-old so she could gain a diploma, has been sent to jail for age falsification.

A 34-year-old woman who lied about her age and has been parading as a 15-year-old girl, Charity Johnson, has been handed a jail time of 85 days by a Longview, Texas, USA, court.

The sentence was part of a plea bargain agreement between Johnson and prosecutors after she pleaded guilty to the crime of perjury.

Johnson who wanted to earn a high school diploma, attended school as a teenage girl, while pretending to be an orphan and was adopted by a kindhearted family.

Police say the adult lady was arrested for impersonating a high school student after spending almost a whole year enrolled as a sophomore.

According to ABC News, Johnson attended classes at New Life Christian School in Longview. Her fantasy life came to an end after her foster family began to suspect that she was not who she claimed to be.

The family called police, who ordered the woman to stay away from her adoptive parents’ home, having found out that she had used the name Charite Stevens, and began to go to school after posing as an orphaned 15-year-old girl and she even had a Facebook account posing as a tenth grader.

While pleading guilty, Johnson allegedly said that she was abused by her biological father after her mother died.

Her crime was recorded by the ABC News on Youtube.
